Earth Day Party at the Environmental Discovery Center

Come celebrate Earth Day and the Environmental Discovery Center 's 10th birthday with special family fun. Kids can meet feathered and furry guests from the Bird Rescue Center and Sonoma County Humane Society and sea creatures from the UC Davis Bodega Marine Laboratory. A professional storyteller will spin tales about natural wonders in the storytelling cavern. Naturalists will lead all-ages hikes to Spring Lake and Annadel State Park. Kids can get creative with eco-crafts, get their faces painted, learn about recycling from a stilt walker, and try a piece of “dirt” cake, if they dare. A food truck or two will stop by for lunch, or families can bring a picnic and enjoy the park. For grown-ups, there’ll be a composting workshop with a Master Gardener. This event is free. Parking at Spring Lake is $6 or free for Regional Parks members.
