I've decided to run a 5K. I know, I'm getting a little ahead of myself. It's not something I'm going to do today, or next week, or next month. But it is something I'm going to do.

I am not a runner. Last weekend, my 8-year-old daughter, with Girls on the Run, ran her first 5K. My 12-year-old son decided at the last minute to run, too... because it sounded like "fun."

Let's clear up the genetics here... They get it from their dad. My idea of "fun" is reading a book, not running 3.2 miles.
